Nature of Contract: Permanent Contract
JOB PURPOSE:
• Receiving cash for deposit into customer accounts
• Paying cash against checks debit customer accounts,
• Buying and selling foreign monies, Travelers checks
• Posting of financial data into the Flexcube system.
• Backing up/Witness for Teller in vault operations (Joint custody)
• Effect Rapid Transfer/Western Union Operations
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
• Receive cash for:
• Deposit to customers accounts (current accounts and savings accounts)
• Sales of Travelers checks
• Sale of Foreign currency
• Liquidation of Prepaid by Bank staff
• Pay cash against:
• Debit to customers accounts (current accounts and savings accounts)
• Payment orders properly signed by authorized signatories
• Checks purchase/Travelers checks/Manager checks upon proper approvals
• FCY notes purchase
• Personal check purchased
• Post financial data into the FLEX through terminal/Screens
• Provide quick, courteous and error free service to customers
• Ensure strict adherence to Bank and OPM/requirements relating to Cash & Teller Area
• Maintain strict control over cash, foreign monies, travelers checks and valuables under teller’s custody
• Maintain correct records of transactions volumes
• Archive all media on daily basis
• Maintain proper records of the vital few quality tracking
• Update Cash& teller DCFC
• Always ensure controls are applied as per written procedures.
• Ensure forms relating to FCY transactions are filled at the time of processing and timely submitted to various Government entities or Central Bank.
• Receive customers for Rapid Transfer/Western Union and proceed with their transactions as per related written procedures
• Perform any other function as and when assigned by the Unit Head.
